Arwen and Aragorn - Everything Else

I found passages in Lord of the Rings directly addressing Arwen and Aragorn's relationship and have included them here.

DO NOT STEAL! Thank you :)

What has been written/said of Arwen and Aragorn and their lives

"In the middle of the table, against the woven cloths upon the wall, there was a chair under a canopy, and there sat a lady fair to look upon, and so like was she in form of womanhood to Elrond that Frodo guessed that she was one of his close kindred. Young she was and yet not so. The braids of her dark hair were touched by no frost; her white arms and clear face were flawless and smooth and the light of stars was in her bright eyes, grey as cloudless night; yet queenly she looked, and thought and knowledge were in her glance, as of one who has known many things that the years bring. Above her brow her head was covered with a cap of silver lace netted with small gems, glittering white; but her soft grey raiment had no ornament save a girdle of leaves wrought in silver. So it was that Frodo saw her whom few mortals had yet seen; Arwen, daughter of Elrong, in whom it was said that the likeness of Luthien had come on earth again; and she was called Undomiel, for she was the Evenstar of her people. Long she had been in the land of her mother's kin, in Lorien beyond the mountains, and was but lately returned to Rivendell to her father's house."

"Frodo halted for a moment, looking back. Elrond was in his chair and the fire was on his face like summer-light upon the trees. Near him sat the Lady Arwen. To his surprise Frodo saw that Aragorn stood beside her; his dark cloak was thrown back, and he seemed to be clad in elven-mail, and a star shone on his breast. They spoke together, and then suddenly it seemed to Frodo that Arwen turned towards him, and the light of her eyes fell on him from afar and pierced his heart."

"But the days darkened in Middle Earth as the power of Sauron grew and in Mordor the Dark Tower of Barad-dur rose even taller and stronger. And though Aragorn and Arwen at times met briefly again, their days were sundered - for the time drew on now to the War of the Ring at the end of that age of the world."

Galadriel, after giving Aragorn a gift from her and her husband Celeborn, a sheath that had been made to fit his sword and on it set in elvenrunes formed from many gems the name Anduril and the lineage of the sword. "The blade that is drawn from this sheath shall not be stained or broken even in defeat," she said/ "But is there aught else that you desire of me at our parting? . . ." And Aragorn answered, "Lady, you know all my desire, and long held in keeping the only treasure that I seek. Yet it is not yours to give me, even if you would; and only through darkness shall i come to it." And Galadrian then spoke, "Yet maybe this will lighten your heart for it was left in my care to be given to you, should you pass through this land." Then she lived from her lap a great stone of a clear green, set in a silver broach wrought in the likeness of an eagle with outspread wings . . . "This stone I gave to Celebrian my faughter and she to hers and now it comes to you as a token of hope. In this hour take the name that was foretold for you, Elessar, the Elfstone of the house of Elendil."

"And when all was done, Elrond came forth from Imladris and Galadriel from Lorien and brought with them Arwen Undomiel, Evenstar of her people, and she made the choice of Luthien to become mortal and abide inMiddle Earth and wed Aragorn Arathorrisson, King of Gondor and Arnor and was Queen and Lady of Elves and Men. Thus ended the Third Age. Yet bitterest of all sorrows of that age was the parting of Arwen and Elrond for they were sundered by sea and by doom beyond end of the world. For when the Great Ring was unmade, the 3 Rings of the Elves also failed and Elrond was weary of Middle Earth at last and departed seeking Celebrian and returned never again. But Arwen became mortal woman and yet even so it was not her lot to die until she had lost all she gained. For though she lived with Aragorn for five-score years after and great was their glory, yet at last he said farewell and laid himself down and died ere old age unmanned him. But Arwen went from the city and from her children and passed away into the land of Loth-Lorien and died their alone under the fading trees for Galadriel was also gone and Lorien was withering. And then at last, it is said, she laid herself to rest upon Cerin Amroth and there was her green grave until all the world was changes and all the days of her life were utterly forgotten by men that came after and elenor and nifredil bloomed no more east of the sea."
